influencia del automóvil en nuestras vidas y cultura.
Cuando lo visites tienes que tomar un recorrido a través de “Streetscape”
y experimenta el “road map” del siglo XX que representa la evolución del automóvil
y su impacto en California. Disfruta de tres pisos llenos con la historia fascinante del automovilismo.

Los autos y motocicletas en exhibición reflejan
décadas de estilos mezclados con el desarrollo tecnológico.
Abarcando mas de 300,000 pies cuadrados, el museo presenta mas de
150 autos de carreras, carros antiguos, los famosos “hot rods”, motocicletas,
los autos famosos y celebres de las películas de Hollywood.

Empiece su visita en Plaza Central (947 N. Broadway) donde usted será encantado por
los senderos anticuados y tiendas diminutas.
El sonido de hacer clic en Mah-jong mosaicos pueden ser oídos por las ventanas
donde muchas de asociaciones de familias de Chinatown tienen sus reuniones sociales.
Un lugar popular para filmar, Plaza Central con su distintivo "Puerta de la Piedad Filial" ahi se
muestra también una estatua de Dr. Sun Yat Sen, el fundador de la República de China,
y una pagoda con cinco gradas.
En el edificio 951 N. Broadway, usted encontrará un dragón pintado por Tyrus Wong.

Un paso a la izquierda de Plaza Central le trae al umbral de Panadería de Phoenix.
Esta es la panadería más vieja y más grande en Chinatown con una
reputación en toda la ciudad por sus fresas en bizcocho de crema.

Un poco mas atras al sur por Broadway al norte.
Usted pasa por las tiendas de curiosidadades y joyerías, disfrute de los
hermozos frescos de mosaico en la pared en 913 Broadway al norte.
Al otro lado de la calle, encontraras Little Joe’s Restaurant ,
recordando a la gran población italiana que también vivió una vez aquí.
El restaurante ha sido comprado recientemente y planean restaurarlo.

Continuando al sur, en el lado izquierdo de la calle encontraras Plaza de Saigón,
Centro de Plaza y Dinastía de Chinatown (800 bloque de Broadway del norte).
La mayor parte de las tiendas y estos bazares son propiedad de nuevos inmigrantes chinos
originarios de Vietnam, de Camboya y de Laos.
Estos bazares ofrecen ropa, juguetes, y chucherías de todas clases.
Cuando usted camina por el lado occidental de la calle usted encontrara
varias joyerías que chispean con oro de 18K y 22K y con las creaciones exquisitas de jade.

Start your visit at Central Plaza (947 N. Broadway) where you will be enchanted by the quaint walkways and tiny shops. The sound of clicking mahjong tiles can be heard from upstairs windows where many of Chinatown's family associations hold their social meetings. A popular place for filming, Central Plaza with its distinctive "Gate of Filial Piety" also boasts a statue of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, founder of the Republic of China, a wishing well dating to 1939, and a five-tiered pagoda. On the building at 951 N. Broadway, you will find a dragon

A step outside and to the left of Central Plaza brings you to the doorstep of Phoenix Bakery. This is the oldest and largest bakery in Chinatown with a citywide reputation for its strawberry whipped cream cakes.
Turn back and walk south along North Broadway. As you pass the curio shops and jewelry stores, stop to take in the beautiful tile murals on the wall at 913 North Broadway. Across the street, note Little Joe's Restaurant, a reminder of the large Italian population that also once lived here. The restaurant has recently been purchased and plans are under way to develop the site and restore the restaurant.
Continuing south, on the left side of the street are Saigon Plaza, Chinatown Plaza and Dynasty Center (800 block of North Broadway). Most of the shops and stalls in these bazaars are owned by Chinatown's newest ethnic Chinese immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. These bazaars offer real bargains on clothing, toys, and knickknacks of all kinds. As you walk on the west side of the street your eyes will be caught by a number of jewelry stores sparkling with 18K and 22K gold and exquisite jade creations.

Virginia Tech family members across the country have united to declare this Friday, April 20th, an "Orange and Maroon Effect" day to honor those killed in the tragic events on campus Monday, and to show support for Virginia Tech students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and friends."Orange and Maroon Effect" was born several years ago as an invitation to Tech fans to wear orange and maroon to Virginia Tech athletic events.We invite everyone from all over the country to be a part of the Virginia Tech family this Friday, to wear orange and maroon to support the families of those who were lost, and to support the school and community.

January 17, 1957 Anne was born into this world.

Anne Marie Nell- Lane, passed away while

surrounded by her loved ones on April 6, 2007.

Anne was a dedicated mother, a loving daughter,

a compassionate sister,

and was loved by all she came in contact with.

Because she was so dear to you,

OAXACAN FOOD.

LA GUELAGUETZA.

La Guelaguetza.
Para los Oaxaquenos la Guelaguetza es el festival cultural mas importante de danzas folkloricas, musica y comida. Esta se celebra los dos primeros lunes del mes de Julio.

The Guelaguetza.
The Guelaguetza it's named for Oaxaca’s most important cultural festival, an extravaganza of regional dancing, music and food that take place on two Mondays in the month of July.

Comida Oaxaquena.
Soy de Oaxaca México y esta es mi comida favorita.
Oaxacan food
I'm from Oaxaca Mexico and this is my favorite food.

Horchata con tuna y nuez. Esta es una bebida hecha a base de arroz molido y almendras, adornada con nuez, pedazos de melón y tuna roja.
Horchata. A white drink made from ground rice and almonds, topped with chopped pecans, decide cantaloupe and red cactus fruit marmalade.

Clayuda. Una tortilla delgada y grande de maíz, esta es sazonada con asiento (una pasta suave de color café hecha con la grasa de los chicharrones) embarrada de frijoles negros en pasta adornada con quesillo (Este viene en tiras largas enrolladas en forma de bola)
y col, acompañada con cecina enchilada (filete de puerco marinado con chile)

Clayuda. A large, thin, chewy corn tortilla that is seasoned with asiento (This soft, pale brown paste, made from the fat used for frying chicharrones, is an important Oaxacan condiment), then coated with black bean puree and topped with quesillo (A flavorful string cheese formed into long ribbons that are wrapped in a ball) and vegetables and cecina enchilada (chile-marinated pork)
